Biography

Ska, metal, punk and reggae from Alcalá de Henares since 2005.

Vagos Permanentes is a band founded in 2005 in Alcalá de Henares with diverse musical influences, ranging from ska and metal to punk and reggae. The group is made up of friends from different neighborhoods in the city.

After completing their initial lineup, they composed the songs that would later become part of a three-track demo. The positive reviews they received and the enthusiastic reception of their first concerts led the group to decide to take things more seriously. While continuing to perform, they began writing the songs for what would become their first album, released in 2008.

Vagos Permanentes is a 100% self-managed band that has always handled all aspects of releasing an album and touring. The band's music addresses social issues, always from a perspective that uses humor and irony as a form of satire.

The group has shared the stage with groups such as Reincidentes, Talco, Mamá Ladilla, A Palo Seko, Gatillazo, Lendakaris Muertos, Rat-Zinger, Termofrigidus or Habeas Corpus.

In 2013, Vagos Permanentes released their third album, Regreso al pan duro (Return to Stale Bread), a concept album and their most elaborate work to date. The album takes 12 classic science fiction titles and reinterprets them, modifying the names and imbuing them with the band's characteristic sense of humor. The album was financed through a crowdfunding project, and thanks to the contributions of more than 300 backers, the band was able to distribute around 500 copies upon its release.

After their performance at Sala Caracol in Madrid, the group began the Regreso al Pan Duro Tour, touring various venues and national festivals for two years, performing over 30 dates across the country, with notable appearances at festivals such as Aupa Lumbreiras 2013, Alterna Festival, Juglares Contra el Hambre, Tresparock, and Comedia Fest.

In early 2015, the band announced they were returning to their rehearsal space to compose their new work, which would be a trilogy of EPs inspired by the artwork of the Tales from the Crypt comics. Under the name "Fenómenos para anormales" (Phenomena for Abnormals), they recorded two EPs of original songs and one of covers. The EP titles were "El hombre bobo" (The Silly Man), "Que vienen los grises" (Here Come the Grays), and "Diversiones para lelas" (Fun for Dummies). In 2018, "Que Vienen Los Grises" (Here Come the Grays), the second volume of the trilogy, was released, and the band returned to the road, delivering ska, punk, and a healthy dose of humor to stages across the Iberian Peninsula. True to their 100% self-managed spirit, Vagos Permanentes continue to prove that you can make a lot of noise without asking anyone's permission.
